About SKDAC

SKDAC is a Nowra based car club that has members within the surrounding area and across the state. The club is mostly involved with dirt events, eg State and Club level Rallying, Motorkhanas, Khanacross, but also has members involved with tarmac events like, Hill Climbs, Sprint races and even Super Karts.
The Club was formed in the early 1960's and over this time has had many successful members, even state rally champions.

The club is involved with organizing many events, and this year will see the club take on all of the running of the Batemans Bay Rally. This rally will be again held as a NSW state round in 05 September 08. The start location This year will be returned to the town centre. The cars will then take on variouse stages to the north and south of Batemans Bay and all will conclude at the beautiful Murramarang resort in Durras.

The club is also involved in running two smaller events. The first one is Mini Dulla rally. This event is normally held around Feburary to take full advantage of the warm camping weather, but this year will be held on November 29 . This rally has become very popular, due to its low cost, value for money, relaxed enjoyable style. The event is run out of the camping ground at Shallow crossing near Batemans Bay, and runs with two stages linked together that are run twice. The start and finish of the loop is close to the camping ground. This gives the competitors a very small transport distance, and with central service (next to your tent, ect) allows for a very relaxed event.

Cool off in Shallow crossing after the event.  MiniDulla Camping grounds

The other is the Tomerong Rally held within the Tomerong state forrest near Jervis Bay 20 mins south of Nowra. A fun little rally with 2 stages run twice. This event is a very relaxed and fun day with plenty of time for a yarn and some sideways dirt action.

Tomerong Rally South of Nowra

To add to this is There is also the Motorkhana/Khanacross series events that are held through out the year. They are held at South Nowra off Warra Warra road just before the Rifle club. These events cater for all types of motor vehicles, ranging from Rally cars, 4WDs, Buggies and even standard road cars. The cars need not have rego as it is held on private property.  The minimum standard is a mechanically safe car with safe working seat belt and fire extinguisher. Further information contact Lizzy Ferme on 0414 318 575

Junior members are encouraged to participate as it can provide them with allot of valuable skills for when they take to the roads.Minimum ages are 12 years for Motorkhana, and for Khanacross. So if you have an old bomb sitting at home taking up space, bring it out and have a bash and a heap of fun.

The coming events will now be run under AASA. In most parts they will be much the same as always, only now less officials are required to run and the min age is 12.
Two other changes to take place are,
*Helmets are required at all times.
*Juniors must have a licenced adult in the car at all times.
For the time being you can still compete on your CAMS 2NS licence.

New members are gladly welcomed, so if you are interested, contact one of of friendly members for further details.
